Mancini: Manchester City can get Premier League name next time...

Rate 9, 2013 8:15:00 AM The Italian has rued several accidents to first-team players and individual errors during the recent plan, but is confident his group could make amends in 12 weeks' time Sergio Aguero's late purpose was decisive in the 2-1 gain while the first- and second-placed groups in England's top flight put on a show that show United's 15-point edge cut to 12. United continue to be odds on to clinch a 20th Premier League top come May, but Mancini says the skill his group showed at Old Trafford is yet more evidence City will come out on top in future times. "It is very important that we continue steadily to gain a' we've another eight games. For the present time we need to play similar to this. For next time we've two or three weeks where we can work very well and where we can increase our team." Mancini did, nevertheless, admit that United are worthwhile champions-elect this campaign having tasted defeat for the first time since November on Monday night, but suggested the size of the difference is flattering to Sir Alex Ferguson. "I believe that we showed this tonight. We can't be 15 factors behind," he added. "We may say United won plenty of games. They lost their last [league] game against Norwich quite a while before, so they deserve to win this title. "This gain because it can help us for second place is very important for us. We deserved to get because we played better. Good football was played by us. We didn't get any risk." Mancini proceeded to repent a sequence of injuries to key personnel over the course of the term, with the likes of leader Vincent Kompany just recently returning from a long first-team absence while David Silva limped out of Monday's derby win. He continued: "This time we had some difficulties with people injured. We're not a group that will lose three or four people. We cannot eliminate Yaya Toure and Vincent Kompany together. We are not strong that we can lose 3 or 4 players like this."
