Always reloading, never rebuilding. The Pittsburgh Steelers are busy today, finalizing a restructured deal for OLB LaMarr Woodley, re-signing LB Larry Foote (several other teams were interested), and now they've agreed to terms to bring WR Plaxico Burress back.
This is a great move. The only issue I have with the Steelers offense – and it's a minor one – is offensive coordinator Todd Haley. It feels like some of these guys (Tony Sparano, Brian Schottenheimer, Greg Knapp, Cam Cameron, Ken Whisenhunt) have too many connections resulting in getting jobs when they tanked offenses in their last spots. Overall, talent trumps coaching, and Haley will likely alter the playbook and play-calling towards what the players prefer. RB Jonathan Dwyer and TE Heath Miller both made plays in the offense. The Steelers are in the right draft to have WR and OL needs. Plaxico brings size, toughness, leadership, and vet savvy.
