Billy Jones: Keep my West Brom competing Steven Reid - expressandstar.com

West Brom opponent Billy Jones today told the Baggies to register his right-back rival Steven Reid for another season. Johnson is willing for Hawthorns officials to trigger a one-year choice to keep carefully the experienced Reid, who has suffered an injury-blighted season. Reidas agreement ends in summer time and damage lay-offs mean he is unlikely to perform enough matches to trigger an automatic option, making Albion to decide whether to hold him. But, regardless of the 32-year-old making just this year to 10 appearances, Jones wants him to remain. aHeas an enormous member of the squad,a said Jones, who has deputised in Reidas absence. aHeas a huge team player and an essential area of the dressing room. aHeas well respected by all the lads. Heas a I and great figure think they are all expecting that the membership take up the choice and he will sign again. aHeas established this last year and year that, when he plays, he plays constantly well therefore I canat see why the membership wouldnat wish to take up the option. aHeas an established Premier League player and heas got that critical knowledge. Heas a great chief and a great communicator.a The Baggies have started a hunt for right-back reinforcements as problems about Reidas conditioning issues persist, with Leeds child Sam Byram those types of seen by scouts. West Brom experimented with signal Fulhamas Chris Baird in January while Newcastleas Danny Simpson in addition has been the main topic of questions. But Jones, who could also find his spot confronted by any new right-back, asserts he would welcome the competition. aWhenever a new person comes in who represents your situation, itas a new challenge,a he explained. aEven when we donat even in 2010 sign a right-back thereas planning to be opposition. The team are trying to enhance the squad. "I havenat viewed loads and loads of stories, and I imagine thereas stories not only about right-backs, but in addition midfielders, strikers and others, and you expect that. aAlbion desire to move forward as a club, and to move forward youave surely got to sign new players.a Claudio Yacob today insisted he's very happy to be Albionas since the Baggies aim for another record-breaking Premier League season unsung hero. West Brom defense Billy Jones today urged the Baggies to register his right-back competitor Steven Reid for another year. West Brom chef Steve Clarke still hopes summer signing Markus Rosenberg will make this season to an effect after exposing the Sweden internationalas frustrations. West Brom captain Chris Brunt is desperate to make it 13th time lucky for Northern Ireland and offer a long overdue victory at Windsor Park. wether we signal reidy up or not ( I know think we must with a part-time coaching role as well ) he is got more value in the dressing room and throughout the game than a particular pete.. How come it some participants who are absolutely professional, focused on themselves and the game and give 100% have unjust incidents, however pete's of the world who don't give drop never do. Billy was our most useful player against Stoke, for me! Once we appear to be looking for the right back, it seems such as the end of the road for Steven Reid, however. Mboy I do believe they were looking for you to definitely replace billy jackson to be honest. He had been a bit hit and miss during the last a couple of years but seems to be playing far better recently. I acknowledge he was our most readily useful player against Stoke. Billy Jones, good quotes and i agree fully. You'd be my first choice 'but' i'd require more understanding of defensive duties, a tougher account (perhaps not dirty), and constant consistency. You will have arrived, if you can implement these changes. The Pride and the Passion Using Billy the Kid's perspective, perhaps Steven might be kept on as a versatile player plus training badges, being has he is great at man management. I know we can't do the same for everyone, but if this works he might be good for work as a coach in future while the potential is there. BOING~~~~BOING~~~~JaH. Mr hat I agree, if anybody inside our team seems like a future head coach then reidy is the person. There would be no doubt he would be our captain if he could remain fit. Place on jack he is truly premiership quality. Very seldom gets the work around both. Just wish he was 28 again. Unfortunately he does have injuries. But I'd love to see him in coaching part off some sort maybe the under 21 years old team teaching them where they must certanly be at every given instant drumming into them what is required and he looks a nice person showing them ways to get on in life so they don't loose course off what is normal Warning of a great team spirit each time a player is remembering yet another player that's in competition for his position. Billy is getting better by the week IMO. Overlaps and his wing play are extraordinary, he is putting his foot in more also which is the key credit he needs. Will soon be gutted if Reidy does go as he is a good and clever person. Wish the BAGGIES HOLD Steven Reid next time. We want his knowledge not only on the message but around the group where he could be used to greatly help the up and coming youths learn their business. Still believe that we have to sign an experienced Premiership standard right back in the future, as I wish to see Billy Jones pushed forward in to a right sided wide situation. He is fast, gets the ability to beat a player and put over a decent cross! What can you think? COYB. Boing! Boing!! BBRoy. Just a thought but I wonder if we'd closed exactly the same bloke but we'd been told he was a from Benfica instead of Preston, if he had cost 3 mill instead of free and his name had been Jejonesio instead of Billy Jones, would people be asking his all round ability? Bully, ahhhh........now yer talkin'- Jejonesio, what a player!! I remember his performances are forgotten by him well, will we ever at the 1972 Texaco World Cup Finals? That person can set so much 'bend' on the ball, he'd need certainly to face his or her own 'owner when he got a free end. He can 'weave' his way across the resistance therefore well, they'd all wind up bunched in the middle circle, ergo his nickname 'El Canino', Portuguese for 'The Sheepdog.' He was player of the event, before his team mates Ovalteenio, Pelay, Mayday, and Amyowokay? These were the days........... ( well it's a game free wikend an' I'm bored..........:) BBB here here STRAIGHT back THE BERG I like Steven Reid and I hope as I think he's an excellent role model for the younger lads we can keep him at the club in a few coaching volume. Evening all, i like Reid! think the majority of us do and his experiance could be good to have around again next season and usually the one after imo. Plus a training position he had be geat to own round the club as an example and a person to others (young and old). Am i right in thinking he is able to also play/has performed in midfield before now?? He could be kept by us as a backup to Yacob and Mulumbu as we know he's got a good engine - reads the overall game well and could tackle well. Even of we are searching for yet another right back he ticks a field as a great squad player to own around, the old fashioned constant eddie if you can. Regards AndyH Andrew Plus he'd not be sad spending at lot of his time on the bench so wouldn't be producing any internal dilemmas, unlike some! Adeu Billy, you would be my 1st choice right back. A Rolls Royce engine in a young hard figure, the ability to find yourself in the resistance package from the wing work, you don't 'freeze' in dangerous parts, you're fast and daring with lots of natural ability. Adding to that, you wish to learn, learn, learn. Don't knock your self, you may have it all! On still another matter, Rio-arrow-mouth-Ferdinand, with assistance from a Kerniggut, has played a mean and dirty trick on Roy Hodgson. I am sure Roy may have made his decision with this big-head's England future. Can you imagine a new player like Gareth McAuley being do arrogant and small? Cyril. I agree about Billy Jones. Sometimes it is exactly about understanding in quite similar way as players that can come through the youth system are less appreciated by lovers than large money buys, as i said in my reply to Baggie Boy Roy. Cyril, Rio Cheerio has as a man" with Al Jazeera a new promotion stop. Roy can leave him to stew in their own juice partner. BOING~~~~BOING~~~~JaH.
